Library FAQs

To find out if the CSUEB Libraries has the book, e-book, and/or textbook that you're looking for, follow the steps below: 

1. Go to the library catalog
2. Search for the title of the book (example: "It's all for the kids")
3. In your search results, click on the title of the book you're looking for
4. You'll see a page with detailed information about that specific book
5. If the Library has an e-book version of the book:
   1. You will see a link that says "View item" or "ProQuest Ebook Central" or another platform name.
   2. You'll be asked to login with your NetID/password
   3. Once you're logged in, you should be able to view the e-book!  
6. If the Library has a physical copy of the book: 
   1. You'll see information about which campus (Hayward or Concord), what location (Check out desk, 2nd floor books, etc.) and the call number of the book 
   2. The "Status" will say "Available" if the book is on the shelf, or display a date if the book is checked out and due back in the future
