How do I access Masters Theses and Dissertations?

Answer

The University Libraries collects University Theses written by Cal State East Bay graduate students and makes them available in print and/or electronic form:

  • Online theses are available in CSU ScholarWorks (Note: limit the Resource Type to "dissertation" to view all 23 CSU campuses' dissertations and theses. You can further limit to CSU East Bay dissertations and theses by selecting the campus filter)
  • Physical copies of theses that are housed in the CORE Library are listed in the OneSearch

To find theses and dissertations from other universities, use the Dissertations and Open Access database or search the Dissertations and Theses Database: Humanities & Social Sciences from ProQuest.

The University Libraries collects Cal State East Bay University Theses but does not currently collect Departmental Theses. The University Libraries do have physical copies of older departmental theses that are listed here. Departmental theses may be available through the department that granted the degree. Please contact the graduate coordinator of the program or gradstudies@csueastbay.edu.
