Q. Does the library have my textbook?

Answer

The library does not collect every textbook for every class, but we do have many. Follow the steps below to find textbooks available in the library.

Course Reserves is a collection of textbooks and other materials either purchased with A2E2 funding (based on student fees) or loaned to the library by your professors. To search Course Reserves - use the search box on the library's homepage and select the "Course Reserves" tab.

You can search by course number (e.g. Anthropology 1000), book title, or instructor's name, and narrow your results using the limiters on the left side of the results page. When you find your textbook, be sure to write down the call number so that you can pick up the item at the Media Resources and Reserves desk, located on the 2nd floor (UM level) of the Hayward campus library. Most items are available to check-out for 2-hours.
